Familia Torres is door professionals uit de wijnsector uitgeroepen tot World’s Most Admired Wine Brand volgens de ranglijst gepubliceerd in het speciale supplement van Drinks International. Het familiebedrijf Torres gevestigd in de Penedès behaalde voor de 7e keer de eerste plaats in de elf edities van deze prestigieuze wereldwijde ranglijst.
World’s Most Admired Wine Brand is gebaseerd op enquêtes van meer dan 200 professionals (wijnkopers, sommeliers, groothandels, barbezitters, Masters of Wine, wijnschrijvers, docenten en andere wijnspecialisten) van over de hele wereld, hen wordt gevraagd om de vijf wijnmerken te noemen die ze het meest bewonderen, rekening houdend met factoren zoals kwaliteit en consistentie van de wijn, de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en de kracht van de branding en marketing.

Familia Torres has been voted the world’s most admired wine brand by industry professionals, according to the Drinks International recently published ranking. The family-owned winery from Penedès tops once again the annual list “for its sustainable leadership, quality and consistency of its wines and brand strength across the globe” as stated by the British magazine.
Familia Torres, which has also been awarded the Most Admired Wine Brand in Europe, has taken the first position seven times out of 14 editions. It has been number 2 a total of five years, and has held the 3rd and 4th position once.
Drinks International compiles this ranking every year based on a survey of one hundred wine experts from around the world including sommeliers, buyers, wholesalers, Masters of Wine and writers. A percentile of the Academy rotates to guarantee a fair representation of the global trade. Participants in the survey are asked to name the five brands they admire the most, considering the quality and consistency of the wine, the price to quality ration and the strength of the branding.
Drinks International’s editor Shay Waterworth comments: “Familia Torres is the most successful producer in the history of our ranking. Not only does the company make world-class wines, but our Academy admires the brand for its inspirational role in fighting climate change and leading the wine industry into the future.
